Courses
Jackdaws runs a range of residential courses for people of all ages, abilities and backgrounds: and Junior Jackdaws offers day courses to young people.
The course tutors are prominent international musicians.
Community
Jackdaws offers inspirational and imaginative experiences of music-making to children and adults.
Projects are based at Jackdaws and in various venues, including schools, in the Frome area.
Concerts
Jackdaws presents a concert series which is vital to the life and spirit of the trust - bringing high quality music-making from some of the country's top performers to a wide audience.

Jackdaws Music Education Trust
The Jackdaws Music Education Trust is based in the beautiful Vallis Vale in Great Elm, Somerset. Jackdaws is dedicated to improving participation in and enjoyment of music through weekend courses, concerts, a young artists programme and educational projects. Our Young Artists programme consists of the annual Maureen Lehane Vocal Award worth £2000, the OperaPLUS course and concert opportunites as well as our latest venture - Jack's Music Club, an afterschool club for teenagers and musicians of ALL abilities.
We are accessible by road and via Frome rail - with direct trains to Bristol, Bath and London Waterloo. We have one member of staff who arrives each morning by bike and we're sure that since we're on the Mells river you could even get here by boat, though it hasn't happened yet!
